A recent survey that Discount Fire Extinguishers picked up on revealed 90 percent of small businesses that employ fewer than 10 employees are failing when it comes to conducting the appropriate fire risk assessments or following even the most basic fire safety procedures.
Fire Safety Regulations are Vital

A telephone survey, which included restaurateurs, publicans, takeaway owners and office based business owners found these shocking statistics.
- 90% of small-business owners were completely unaware of their responsibility to conduct a fire risk assessment on their premises.
- 86% of business owners with small offices were unaware of the same requirement.
- 39% of pub landlords were also unaware of these requirements.
